Ordered 2 boxes of these for my GF’s Ruger American, I think they’ll flat kill one, I hope it feeds em good.

Those barnes TX bullets are no joke. I've killed a bunch of critters with them in various calibers. They hit hard for sure.

Absolute best bullet for deer in my opinion. They almost always create an exit hole and expansion has never been an issue. Also they are typically a little light for caliber vs cup and core bullets which gains you some speed which equals flatter ballistics out to 300 yards.

Yea i liked that 3000fps, I’ve shot Nosler for years, and have always liked them, hopefully she’ll connect and we see how they do.

They’re almost overkill....that’s enough for elk. The 7mm 120gr Nosler ballistic tip at 3000 is likely there with them....or at least were....Accubond may be, now. They had thicker jackets and were the preferred light 7mm bullet for big animals, amongst many. I never caught one in a deer from a7-08 or 7x57, started over 2700. I’ve heard of them coming apart above 3200....but that’s 280 AI/7mag turf. The TTSX 120 will likely not stop for much. LOL

I shoot the 140gr TSX Federal Premiums in my 708. Last year I killed a 300+ lb pig with it. Went through the elbow, through the cartilage plate, a rib, both lungs, another rib, cartilage plate, off side shoulder and off to never be found. Entrance wound was caliber size or slightly larger, insides were jello, and exit was about half dollar size.
I have also shot 2 bucks with them and neither one took a step. Bang, Flop.
I love Barnes bullets and will probably be shooting the exclusively out of all my rifles.
I reload my ammo so I have tried many other bullets, I love Noslers and have a bunch of them but I feel that the Barnes bullets are easier to get to shoot very well

I agree on availability, even over the counter, I may slowly move my rifles to these. We’ll see

I bet you’ll love em DW. I swapped from Fusions to the Barnes in my 243’s and they’ve been devastating on deer.

What grain in the .243? I shoot 95 grain Nosler in my Model 7 now, it’s been my go to deer rifle since I was 12 lol. Like i tote it 90% of the time. I also shoot some 150 Nosler in my 30-06 and they’ve done well. May look at changing after these run out, just for the availability.
