Pawn shop dealing offer 300 and settle on 350.

I'd buy it. Starline makes brass for it, but they are currently out of stock. I think you make it from 38-55 brass. I know buffalo bore ammo stated you can shoot any of their .38-55 Ammo in 375 winchesters, but only theirs.

the 375 is in nowhere land. Not as good as a .30-30 with a 200gr and never gonna be a .45-70. I have a 94 in it. Good deal on the rifle itself though.

If you need ammo right away, you can use Buffalo Bore 38-55 or any hotter 38-55

Welp i picked her up! Here she is a Marlin 375 pre-safety She's in really good shape, stock (and forearm) definitely has some handling marks, but overall it's pretty nice.

Thats a sweet rifle man, I know that Buff Bore is expensive but it will get you huntin and you are unique.
And, if you decide you don’t want it, I’ll buy it off you when I come through or other arrangements.

Awesome!

The second thing you need to do is wipe it down and put it in your secret hiding spot. They only made that gun about 3 years in the early 80's. It is highly collectible if the bluing is in good shape. The stock can be addressed. You might get twice what you paid for it.

Bluing looks purty dang good, just some muzzle wear, and little bit of rust here and there. I'm gonna give a good clean up in a few days, and yeah i talked with my buddy about it, and he told me to go ahead and jump on it so i did...

I found a place online that has about 40 boxes of Winchester 200Grain PowerPoints, but at $62 a box, i think i will just grab some of the Buffalobore. There is one place in Mobile that just might have some, I'll call them tomorrow...

Re: Help Marlin Lever Gun in 375 Winchester - 10/02/18 01:21 PM

Be careful using just any .38-55 in it. Normal .38-55 brass is longer and could potentially cause a pressure spike. As far as I know, BB is the only one that states their .38-55 can be used.

Its a neat cartridge to get started with a single stage reloading setup

More interesting to me than a 30/30. Good price James. I would load for it.

Certainly more collectable than a 30-30.
