Millennium T-100 Tripod

I'm thinking about purchasing the T-100 10 ft portable tripod. I know the draw back is it's only 10ft off the ground. But with the number of large cutovers and 3 - 4 year old pine acres it would be really beneficial I think. I know they sell 4' extensions, but looking for portability. Anybody ever try one ? Or know another one like it. South Texas tripods and feeders make one but it's all steel.

They are comfortable but if you get it over 10ft remember it doesn't have a platform or rail around it so you are just kinda hanging out up there in the air on a chair. I have sat in one a couple times, 10ft and it was down wind and higher elevation than where I was watching. It was there because all the pines were too small to hang a stand or build a shooting house just yet. You need something behind you or place it where there is cover around you. Usually when you get to needing over 10ft you could just hang a regular ladder stand because the trees are starting to get a bit bigger.


I like it but I would suggest making sure your setup really dictates the need for a portable tripod. Meaning you could probably pick up 2 regular tripods with a little better setup/platform, etc. for the same money. I think what makes that one really great is that it is portable.

I understand. I have some spots on my club that you described as far as young pines. Slot of roadways where I can tuck myself in pines where I know they are crossing. Being able to move it around to different spots on cutovers during the rut. Primarily hunt out of hangons and ladder stands and an occasional hand climber sit. Just wanting something I can pop up on a cutover or tuck back in some short pines watching a long stretch of road.

The setup was similar where i was using it... There were young pines and we were just hunting the firebreak/roads with it. Couple stretches of road where you could see 100 yards before it made a bend. But this was also were deer tended to cross the road due to terrain. Put this stand downwind and tried to catch bucks chasing does in the pines.... which would ultimately lead to them crossing the road. Worked. Saw a lot of deer just better be ready to shoot when you see a doe cross. I carried it in on top of a Ranger dropped it and drove on off another couple hundred yards, came back and got in the stand.

Probably going to purchase it. I can see a use for at least where I'm hunting

I purchased one you had better be flexible steps are small top one is under the seat almost impossible to get seated once you get there you can’t raise up and when you try to leave in the dark it’s really hard to turn around and exit got rid of it after just two sits guess I gave it away never got paid at least I knowi I want get hurt

I have one of these and it is tricky to get into. Once your in it it's very comfortable. I reversed the foot test and turned it into a rifle rest. Also it's not near as portable as I thought it would be. I wouldn't want to carry it along ways, with all of my other gear. When I use mine i set it up ahead of time before I hunt.
