Red dot - 02/14/18 03:04 PM

I’m wanting to put a red dot on my turkey gun. I’ve looked at the vortex and Burris fast fire. Ideally I’d like to keep it under $150 though. Any recommendations?

Mueller quick shot or sightmark for that price range.

I use a sig Romeo 5 I really like. It’s a 2 moa dot, and it has auto shut off. And then soon as you pick it up or move it it turns back on. I like that feature a lot.

I've been looking at the FF3 and Vortex Venom. However, I don't want to buy another red dot right now, so the Romeo I already have is getting repurposed.

I put a Primary Arms micro dot on my turkey gun at some point and it held up until I removed it. Might want to check those out.

Got a sig romeo 5 opmod on the way. Also have had an aimpoint for 4 yrs now and it's been worth every penny, just heavy compared to the micro style. Optics planet had some very good deals going on last week. I'd check them out. As mentioned the PA are highly rated also.

Just ordered a Sig Romeo5. Haven’t used it yet but it gets good reviews. They are on sale at this site for $129.

I, uh, don't have an AR......but, uh, if I did, I would have had one of these on it for several months now and love it.

I got a TruGlo Red/green dot I’ll put on somebody for $40. I put it on my AR and fired 10 rounds with it. It’s nice. My old eyes are just so bad I need a scope. It will come in the original packaging.

Yup. I had one on a 45-70 for long time. Never lost zero through hundreds of stout reloads. I still have one that I got off Amazon for $30 bucks. Best budget red dot out there imo.

Please update on the crossfire, I've been looking at those.

I just put a vortex 1x prism on my little 20 gauge. I like the prism because of the etched reticle. If for some reason I forget to turn it on, I still have the etched reticle.

I have only shot it one time but it is very nice, i was worried about being able to use it with both eyes open, but i can see clearly with both eyes open . It has flip covers I dont like that they do not lay completely flat when open, i may just take them off. Im happy with it for now
