I've got a new to me AR and wanted to mount a scope that I had on it. The previous rings I had on the scope are not tall enough for the scope to clear the hand guard.
So, figured I would ask here first. What height rings do I need?

About 1.5" height is the standard for ARs. Most of your cantilevered mounts come in that height. Do you have a railed foregrip or the older style fat two-piece handguards?

Mine is a 1x4x20, so my rings are low. But, I did once attempt to mount a 3-9-40 on one and in order to get Clearence the rings were so high I couldn't keep my check anywhere near the stock.
