New scope for my Steyr

I am looking to purchase a new scope for my Steyr in 280Rem.
Going to set it up as a powerline gun.

Thinking something roughly in the 3-15 range.

Meopta Meostar 3-12X50 illuminated #4 $1200ish
Leupold just released the VX5HD line 3-15X44 Duplex Firedot $1000
Steiner has the 3-15X50 with a #4 reticle $700

I am leaning towards the Steiner based on cost and the suggestion of ColeT.

Any input or suggestions for my needs/wants?
Wanting something nice but don't have Kahles/S&B money.

Look into Sightron scopes,good value for the dollar.

Which specific model gets your suggestion for my needs/wants.

I just pulled the trigger on that Steiner based on cost & Coles suggestion.
Got it for a price that nowhere else could come close to through Optics Planet.
$665 delivered for the Steiner 3-15X50 with a German #4 reticle.

Sweet setup. I have the same rifle but in .270 win topped with a Zeiss Conquest 3-12x56. I'll think you are going to love it.

If that's a GS3,I think you'll like it. I've looked at the 2-10 and loved the eye box characteristics. Probably the easiest scope to get behind I've even seen. I would be interested to hear your opinion when you get it, especially if the reticle is thick enough in low light.

I wanted to swing for the Meopta but just can't justify double the price right now.

I have 20/20 vision and being young it should work out well.
Personally I like a simple reticle like a #4.

Look at the bushnell XTR series. I just put 5-25 on my 6.5 creedmoor and the glass is fantastic

You're gonna love it. I have same in .280 Rem with an older Zeiss Diavari. I love that gun and scope and oh boy, is she ever accurate.

What rings/bases are you using?
The rifle is currently setup for 1" but I need to go to 30MM.
