Re: For all you Daniel Defense people. - 04/23/17 03:03 PM

Is that supposed to prove that a PSA is better than a DD?
Posted By: sbo1971

Re: For all you Daniel Defense people. - 04/23/17 05:01 PM

Maybe, maybe not, it could prove that DD are overhyped.

Re: For all you Daniel Defense people. - 04/23/17 05:04 PM

Bwahahah!

People forget it's a AR and the hard parts are basically the same in 90% of them. They aint like comparing Rolex to Timex.

Re: For all you Daniel Defense people. - 04/23/17 05:15 PM

This is a statistical inference of 1.
PSA makes a great plinker rifle that works well for a lot of people.

That said there is a reason that PSA isn't supplying DOD, foreign militaries, and law enforcement agencies.

He disassembled, then put it back together and had no issues.

Re: For all you Daniel Defense people. - 04/23/17 07:47 PM

Those torture test video's are BS, any name brand AR off the shelf can do that and it's been proven many times.

Is a DD AR good? Yes. Is it worth the money and hype? No IMO.

Re: For all you Daniel Defense people. - 04/23/17 08:03 PM

Keep adding bullet weight&powder and something will disassemble...loudly.Shooting times magazine used to do 5000&10000 "torture tests" used to irk me cause it was always pmc or cci blazer ammo.

Anything can be "over-hyped". It's just personal preference over other brands in most cases, along with proven performance in some cases. Goes for just about anything folks buy. One prefers this brand over that brand. Big deal. To each his own. You got it, spend it on what you want. Seen a lot of folks catch as many or more fish out of a 14 ft. john boat as some in their 17 ft. Ranger.

No matter what the product if man makes it at some point it will fail and you will find good and bad in the same product.
I happen to like PSA but also like DD and have never had any trouble from either one and I cant think of a situation where I'd need to go out and burn 5000 rounds to see if I can make them fail at some point during.

Re: For all you Daniel Defense people. - 04/24/17 09:41 AM

One thing for sure, lay a DD and a PSA on the counter and tell me I can have either one for free and I'll take the DD every time. I think most guys here would too, even if part of the deal was that I could never sell it. Whether or not it's worth the price difference,is up to the buyer.

Yeah it's called the lowest bidder.

Yeah it's called the lowest bidder.

Try again.
Palmetto State is practically giving away AR15s right now.

They're offering deals like a firework stand, Buy 1 get 3 free.

Talk about exaggeration, so you're saying that the govt doesn't give contracts based on the lowest bidder?

Exaggeration? Buy 1 M&P Shield get 3 free AR15 lowers is the current PSA promo.
Is that not buy 1 get 3 free or am I wrong?

Based on your line of logic ATI, Delton & PSA would have widescale contracts across the globe.
FN, Colt, H&K, Daniel Defense and Knights Armament are who hold the bulk of the AR10/15 contracts globally.

If I'm wrong please post a link.

How would you post a link proving that the govt gives contracts to the lowest bidder?
Posted By: sbo1971

Re: For all you Daniel Defense people. - 04/24/17 06:04 PM

Anyway, I see that there are some on here who are butt hurt because of the above video's, pretty funny.

Re: For all you Daniel Defense people. - 04/24/17 06:29 PM

You didn't respond to my comment about PSA giving firework stand like deals?

You would think that PSA would be the lowest bidder if they're giving away guns... crazy

Uncle Sam pays approximately $650'ish for a M4.
http://www.guns.com/2013/02/26/fn-lands-army-m4-contract-underbids-colt-remington/
ATI,Delton & PSA are selling guns for approximately $200 less than what the government is paying per rifle.

Re: For all you Daniel Defense people. - 04/24/17 07:22 PM

I wouldn't know about them giving away like fireworks, but; just the wording in the link says it all "underbids". Like I said lowest bidder.

Re: For all you Daniel Defense people. - 04/24/17 07:23 PM

Like I stated, some people are just butt hurt that their favorite AR isn't the greatest thing on earth.

Re: For all you Daniel Defense people. - 04/24/17 07:37 PM

I got an email today from Mark's outdoors. They are selling DD uppers (only the upper) for $999.
Posted By: sbo1971

Re: For all you Daniel Defense people. - 04/24/17 07:42 PM

That's a lot for an upper.

So the ATI, Delton & PSA are the same rifle as the M4 the USG is paying $650 for?

I thought so too.

Re: For all you Daniel Defense people. - 04/24/17 11:25 PM

Just about all the uppers and lowers are on the same playing field. The quality of the finishing is different from place to place, but the are ALL pretty much the same. The real difference comes in the quality of the barrel and bolts. That is where the rubber the meets the road and where companies separate themselves. That and marketing

well you can get same gun for $335. which leaves $94 dollers on the table for 3 blem lowers. So if you buy pistol and 2 lowers at regular price you get 3rd lower half off.

Re: For all you Daniel Defense people. - 04/25/17 05:46 PM

PSA has $191 in those rifles like in the video. That's their build cost so they can afford to lower their prices when they're selling hundreds of thousands and make $300 per rifle. They are trying to flood the market even more to get rid of some of the little guys building and selling ARS

Re: For all you Daniel Defense people. - 04/25/17 07:16 PM

Plus they are dumping all the extra i ventory they added before the election, and anticipated panic buying which never happened.

Re: For all you Daniel Defense people. - 04/28/17 01:29 AM

For clairity the military doesn't purchase ANY AR10s or 15s.
They're called M16s and M4s.
The last one I carried was an FN. I still remember the serial number.

Re: For all you Daniel Defense people. - 04/30/17 03:08 AM

Daniel Defense is the Yeti of ARs!
Other brands just as good without being way over priced!
I tried one of the PSA stainless 16" barreled uppers and and I'm very happy with it.
I really like their 15" handguard!
