Anywhere near NW Alabama I can shoot up to 500 yards?

I'm in Haleyville. Is there a range anywhere close,within 2 hours that I can go to shoot up to 500 yards?

Yep, IMO Maple ridge is as good as it gets in our area. Your other option for long range is someone you know with a lot of land and a good backstop (ie hill).

I've got a 200 yard range at home,but wanted to try my skills a little farther just for fun. I doubt I'll ever have an opportunity to shoot over 200 anywhere I hunt.

This one is a couple hours away from you but it goes out to 1250 yards.

I appreciate the invite but I actually don't get to hunt many days a year.It would wind up not being very cost effective I fear.

A Forbes 270 I bought last year. I doubt I'll ever shoot over 300 but I wanted to try it and my new Z5 Swaro out. Dang Forbes is just accurate for a light rifle.

I'll ask around and see if I can find something. I'm on a budget though.I buy some nice guns and equipment but it takes me a while to save up for it. Possibly I can find someone who won't mind us shooting without having to lease it.
