Great looking iron. You do any hunting with em?

If I had any guns, I'd have a 629 in an 83/8 barrel. It looks (I mean it would look) precisely like the one you have pictured.

I've been looking at some on gun broker for a while. And today I decided to go check out the gun show and there was only 3 in the whole place! Is this one was the exact one I wanted..

Wives that let husbands buy guns are the best kind.

Lucky you! laugh I shot my cousin's 500...put 6 rounds through it, the last 5 just to say I'd shot a whole cylinder through one, that was enough. Just didn't find it a pleasant gun to shoot.

Got the #; if that is a 6" barrel it will be 1980-81. Went to 629-1 in 1982.

My S&W 357 has a 6" barrel. I think it's a model A-19 or something like that. I bought it in 83. Mine is blued though. Hell of a double action gun though. My sights are different than the one above though.

The 66 is basically a 19, the 66 model is the stainless version. My step-dad has one just like yours, and I believe the sights on his are also different..
