Been a little slow in here lately so back by poplar demand is the fan favorite Open House (tm)! Want to keep it les formal, turn in time is 7pm Thursday evening. No family style or buffet entries will be eligable for winning prizes, invite your friends, no entry is is too small just turn them in and lets see what happens, we may host a happy hour cocktail hour for best drink entry from 5-6 as you chef up some amazing aldeer cheffery entries so look forward to another fun evening!

i would prefer cutoff ( cooking wise by sunday) but still be able to post pics on monday. I cant post from my phone is hte only reason i say this. Im good with whatever is decided!

Well, to include more and give the chefs ample time, we will accept entries up until 6pm, Sunday evening, a panel of judges including myself, CM1975, Shanomac and possibly others, we will reivew the top entries and issue prizes to the winners, of course we are open to any ideas to make this the best Open House (tm) yet!

Don't forget to include Shano's entry on Monday if possible. He's a great contestant.

Fried turkey breast with a variety of sauces. I didn’t make the coleslaw, but if you know cock of the walk… it’s some count

Decided to make a breakfast sammich before easing up to camp (been 5 months) had one pack of hot deer sausage left and a link of Boudin, couple eggs and turnt out mighty fine. Kept simple for dinner tonight, bacon deer burger with pepper jack cheese, cowboy candy, little bit of Dukes & Some Blues Hog. Desert is some chips and a diet Grapico 😄

I should also lol, but already thawed some stuff for tomorrow. Been one thing after another at the camp, have a busted pipe (from the cold) so having to use water nxt door, damn head on my trolling motor somehow got busted 🙄

BPI. Love the japs but cheese in jambalaya? Man that’s just wrong. You shouldn’t disrespect the dish like that. Shame on you. James. Your entries are among the best every time. This guy just turns in number one hits every time he just done never miss, never. This brekfest sandwich wins brekfest lunch and got darn dinner. Hall of fame entry!

Wife fixed awesome birthday meal and made one of my fav deserts (chicken captain with rice was entree with spot on homemade biscuits and strawberry pie w cool whip dessert) - should hav taken pics

Wasn't really sure what all i had at camp, but i had one stuffed loin left and bag of mix end pieces of sausage i usually save for beans. But decided to use em in a Mac n Cheese along with some deer bacon burger. The deer loin (Boudin) i brought from the house, i put on the smoker for half an hour then on a hot grill to finish off, think it turnt out purty good. Cooking was definitely the highlight for the weekend lol. I would've liked to had Tater Salad or a Vegetable, but just working with what we had. Wanted to maybe do some grilled/smoke fish instead of pork loin, but they didn't wanna play (nor did my boat lol)

Yeah i'm a meat eater too lol, but i was really wanting to do a Crawfish one, but they only had chinerman one's at the store i stopped at, and the other place was sold out. You gotta watch buying frozen tails, it may be a Louisiana company (or another local company) and say "wild caught" but it'll be from China...And price is usually a dead give away.

Ok I cooked this last night while camping (motorhome isn't really camping I know). It was a good weekend turkey hunting an SOA with a good buddy of mine.

Ribeyes, lobster tails, homemade French fries, Texas toast and stuffed mushrooms.

Dang it man.....I want to be your buddy. That's looks like some fine eating

Bear branch grows a lot of his own stuff too. Extra points imo.

I done chicken and pork chop tacos ( something different) and they did not disappoint. And for dessert cheesecake!
disclaimer the pork chop taco is on the right side i tried to get some good pictures to show the difference.

Those onions in the front and back of the tacos were cooked with the chicken and pork chops and they were phenomenal!

2. Who will do the judging ? Ol Cm or will it be a panel of unbiased judge / judges like in the sauce off ?

3. Will this prize be a gift card that doesn't spam up email's ?

If you turned in an entry you get a vote, I'm not able to enter because BPI is a litle tiddy baby and will whine about it and complain if he wins a gift card too
