Sounds fantastic!! I still have the backstraps and filets off 2 of the does I killed in November and off the 2 Axis bucks my buddies gave me when I missed the spring trip. I need to do that will some soon.

I usually go the opposite, i buy cheap thin bacon to wrap with.

I've been fortunate to been able to get some Axis Deer. Great as advertised. The Jalapeño Poppers were excellent!
