Camp eats - 01/16/24 05:51 PM
Headed to camp the other night. After hunting, it was time to eat! Tonight’s star was fire grilled pheasant.
Started off with a nice Canadian blended whisky by a fire!
After a little sippin’, I removed the pheasant breasts and legs from the Italian dressing marinade where it had soaked for several hours. I added just a pinch salt and pepper just because… I let them sit out for a bit while and went back to the fire for another toddy!
For a little snacking prior to grilling I just put some sharp cheddar cheese on some sesame crackers with a dot of Duke’s mayo (sorry WB, no pic of the Duke’s 😁)
Grilled about 6-7 minutes per side
I served it on a bed of buttered rice and seasoned green beans. And of course, a good red blend paired nicely. It was awesome!
