Vintage Cast Iron Haul - 05/15/22 11:12 AM

... stay tuned to the Classified area over the next several weeks ... seems as though my sources have finally bounced back from the pandemic & i’ve picked up quite a bit of iron this wkend ... all of it needs to be stripped down to raw iron & seasoned back up, so i’ve got quite a bit of work ahead of me, but it’s some nice, cool, vintage stuff & should clean up well ... expect my pricing to go up bc it’s damn sure cost me in gas to source this stuff 🤦🏻‍♂️😐

most of it is vintage Lodge & B’ham Stove stuff - skillets of various sizes - couple dutch ovens ... surprisingly i didnt run into any of my fave cornbread wedge skillets, nor Wagner & Griswold iron 🤷🏻‍♂️ just the way it goes sometimes

thumbup ... here's a step-by-step video on how i season - bear in mind, this is on a raw piece of stripped iron - but all of mine start that way:

between cooks, i'll do this maintenance routine - if i bake or deep fry, i just wipe the pan down & put it up:
