Does not like boiled peanuts. I like so much I just polished off a small can of them, bought at dollar general. I have two hounds, one must be a yankee, one and done. The other, keep um coming.

Well, I was born, raised and lived in Alabama my entar life. I can't stand boiled peanuts. To start with, they smell like dirty feet. I don't remember ever tasting dirty feet, but they taste like what I imagine dirty feet would taste like with an extra coating of sweat.

Now parched peanuts? That's some count.

I just figured carpetbaggers brought boiled peanuts down here with them. grin

I'll eat them, but I'm not going out of my way to get them. Not my favorite.

I like them myself. I've lived here my whole life too. I didn't try them till I was in my 30's. Not that big a deal in north Alabama. But I make myself a batch or eat a can pretty regular.

i grew up farming peanuts near Dothan, AL - love all forms of peanut prep, incl boiled ... a favorite memory of mine is pulling up green peanuts, picking them off by hand, and boiling them on the porch while watching the Alabama-Tennessee game ...

I love good boiled peanuts. They should still be slightly firm with a little snap when you bite them, not mushy. I'm not sure which variety is best for boiling.

Love them spicy. But I prefer freshly boiled while still warm, not out of the can.

There's a big difference in what most folks know as boiled peanuts, and boiled green peanuts. Boiled green peanuts are a delicacy as far as I am concerned. I freeze some every year so i can have some in the off season

I've never eaten boiled peanuts from a can. Only ones I've ever had are from a ziplock bag.
