New Summer Drink...

So far I have introduced you guys to a few:

This is the newest one and I didn't invent it, just sort of found it...

Skinny Margarita

Y'all know I ain't much on any flavored booze, or fruity stuff, but this stuff is 100% agave tequila with lime in it. Period. This is one of the best beach/summer drinks you can get your hands on and most importantly... it is low carb and your wife will love it.

Tequila will make you take off your panties.

I drink wild turkey 101 with water. I drink Tito’s with water and a lime.

I usually drink Wild Turkey 101 on ice and nothing else. Tequila I usually drink straight chilled. Same with dark rum. Cruzan aged is my current favorite. I like Titos either straight chilled on ice or with a splash of vermouth and an olive shaken with ice and then poured out in a martini glass... Titos really needs nothing.

These are just some other drinks I came up with to change up the pace and entice the ladies. Plus they are all nice drinks for hot weather. For instance, I love 101, but it's not that great on the beach or when it's 101 outside. You need something more refreshing.

We had some guests over at our cabin the other night. One was a fairly big time attorney. Everyone had a little too much to drink. He had been drinking my tequila. As they were all leaving he said to everyone, "Tequila makes my clothes fall off." I said, "Then I'm glad you're leaving."

The highway 11 is mighty fine. Been too long since I’ve had one, I might change that this weekend.

Good burbon or whiskey doesn't need water. Just ice it turns to water!

I know what you mean. I don’t drink bourbon when it is blazing hot outside and we are at the lake, beach, farm or even sitting in the porch. I don’t like any drinks whiskey mixed drinks. That is when I turn to titos and water.

If you haven’t tried it, Tito’s with Dasani Sparkling lemon or lime is really good on a hot day.

A good "friend" sometimes enjoys this:




2.5 oz of whatever that is in that jar.
2.5 oz of sweet and sour sauce (equal parts simple syrup, fresh squeezed lemon and lime juice)
splash of cherry juice.

Orange Pineapple + Tito's or Just Tito's and Ruby Red works for me

I like summer beer

12 oz Frozen Pink Lemonade Concentrate
12 oz Water
12 oz Vodka
12 oz Beer

I'm right there with your "good friend" I drink the "whatever is in that jar" with coke usually.

I'll have to try that Lime Tequila margarita up above.................but, you can never go wrong with a good old fashioned Mojito

I introduced Mrs. Irish to to that about 13 years ago and she's been drinking it ever since. Very refreshing on a hot summer day.

Try Apple Crown with cranberry juice and a splash of lime. Great hot weather drink. The wife will also like it. Be careful tho of the Apple crown take down. That stuff can sneak up on ya.

Apple crown gives me a headache. Even if I have one sip and don’t get even close to inebriated.

I’m convinced some of you put ketchup on a steak.

Im not not much of a lemon/lime fan, but Titos and Dasani Strawberry water is kinda floating my boat, for a hot summer break.

Had me at Cruzan aged rum, too much time in St. Croix working established that. I'm still more of a Crown with splash of H2O kind of guy.

I'm not being snobby or putting anyone down that likes it, but I've never understood the popularity of Crown Royal. It's a middle of the road blended whiskey. The bottle is fancier than what's inside of it. Maybe it's the cool bag it comes in.

I buy the new bagless bottles. I hate those damn bags.
My OCD won't let me throw away a perfectly good velour bag, but then I really have no use for it.
It's torture for a twisted psychopath.

Try the peach crown....it will blow ypur mind....

I never have either. If you are going to drink blended Canadian whiskey and mix it with something then just get the Rich & Rare. I guarantee you that I can pour you a glass of that and put it beside a glass of Crown and 99% of the people couldn't tell the difference and it's like $10 a bottle.

Now if someone is going to drink blended Canadian straight on the rocks then I would recommend Forty Creek.

Funny story. My best friend at work is named Dan Connell. I've got another buddy at work a young guy from Puerto Rico named Ernesto. He and I were on a trip one time and I asked him to teach me some Spanish. He's say's,

"Ok, what do you want to learn first?"

"How about 'Dan Connell wears flowery underwear.'"

After he quit laughing he says, "Dan Connell usa calzonzias de flores."

So I repeat it back to him several times like I am some Mexican soap opera star with emphasis. We're driving down the interstate and he's laughing so hard he can hardly drive.

A few days later we are back in the office and a bunch of us are on the elevator going to lunch with folks from other floors. Of course Dan's on there too. So I look over at Ernesto and proudly say "Dan Connell usa calzonzias de flores." And not only do Ernesto and I burst out laughing, but so do these other cute gals on the elevator with us. (who I had no idea spoke Spanish) Dan looks over at us and says, "I don't know what you said about me, but I know it can't be good." And everyone laughed again.

Dan's a huge practical joker so I have to get him when I can.

I drink a little but less than I did. I might have a couple drinks once or twice a month. You have to know that even one drink of alcohol and your liver will stop releasing keytones and start removing the alcohol.

Like I said,I still might have a little Vodka in some diet sprite once a month or sometimes I go several months cause it doesn't take much alcohol to stop weight loss.

It will put you on Sonoro’s death row.

Strawberitas, all the beritas are fantastic. Mangoberita, those beritas are refreshing and do a great job. Them y’all boys they have at the gas stations are a must for the ride home.

I'm not much for mixed drinks at all but was turned onto the following last weekend. Really good and not overly sweet.

8 oz glass filled with ice, 1.25 oz Malibu rum, then top off with coconut water

I’ve eaten plenty of those damn worms over the years, but I’ve never seen any visions.

Crown is nasty, as is most Canadian whiskey. Ever notice no one drinks crown and water? They have to mix it with something to make it palatable.

Me too buddy. The only visions I ever saw on them were of the bottom of a toilet bowel.

I usually don't drink many mixed drinks and stick to good beer or whiskey. But this weekend I drank a whole lot of vodka tonics with Titos and a squeeze of lime. Pretty refreshing stuff.

I'm sipping on some Cran/Pineapple with Tito's and it sure is refreshing 😀

I don't mind some CC every now and then, and it's as good as some of the high dollar Bourbons I've tried.
