WOW! Finally tried some pho

WOW! Finally tried some pho - 10/01/18 12:03 AM

Always wanted to try it as I heard it is a cacophony of tastes in one dish. Sweet, salty, spicy, pungent and some more all combined in one dish. Pretty amazing how they are all combined and you can taste them all at the same time, but distinct from each other. Good Stuff. My wife brought me some back from The Noodle Cafe in Monkey Town. Oops, I don't want to let my old CB talk make me a racist, so it is in Montgomery.

Pho - which strangely enough is pronounced "fuh" - is awesome when done correctly. There are some super places on Buford Highway in Atlanta with great pho.

My brother and I go to Pho Dai Loi 2, which is considered the best over there.

There's a couple of these places on 280. Saigon Noodle House is pretty good.

Where is that, William? I'll have to give it a try next time I'm on that hellish strip of asphalt.

Someone on here in another thread was saying there's a restaurant or something near or at the Chevron across (or up from, like going to B'ham) the Summit entrance. Maybe for tacos or Thai or something?

Only pho I’ve had was from a place in Prattville and it wasn’t very good. Too much Thai basil. I love Italian basil but that Thai basil just over powered everything in the bowl

The tireshop I use is across the street.
They've got a pretty decent pad thai.
