Chili seasoning packets for BBQ rub?

We hardly ever use any pre-made seasoning blends when we cook, but Mrs. Irish was at the grocery store the other day and accidentally bought some of the chili seasoning packets.

I was thinking take those and add a little brown sugar and they might just make some pretty good BBQ rub.

They are mostly just chili powder anyhow which is a base ingredient in rubs. Should work fine.
