Tomorrow is it

Last day of the season for me in TN and I think I am going to sleep in and spend some quality time with the family. They are calling for a washout here with up to 3 inches of rain so I think it will be a good day for a big breakfast and some rest.

I told n2deer and solo when we were out west that there will be another YEKRUT due in this world on Christmas Day this year. We just told the family today and since I talk to most of ya'll more than most of my family I wanted to let ya'll know too. I am a blessed man!

I, for one, am kinda glad it's over though it's bittersweet. I'm wore down to a nub and badly need to get back to many other priorities. Gonna be a long 300 days though.

Well, did you go today or did you get rained out? I heard one turkey gobble two times yesterday about an hour apart. Had no idea where he was after the first gobble. Figured out on the second one that I had gotten on the wrong side of a big deep gorge. Never heard him again after that.

Rained over 2 inches here today. Worked in my garage all day and spent time with the family. Had a better time here with them.

Good call. Sitting in a field on a rainy day and shooting one that happens to come walking by ain't turkey hunting anyway. 300 more days and we can start again.

I bet turkey's from Bama to Nebraska are having prayer groups daily praying that you have a girl so that there maybe a chance she won't hunt. I can't imagine 3 YEKRUTs in the turkey woods, it would be a massacre opening mornings. Yall could be a turkey supplier to a grocery store and do it just off the turkey yall didn't have room for in yalls freezer!!!

Tickles me to death to hear about all of ya'll having all those babies.....I went down that road several years ago now and am beyond that. Since all of ya'll are gonna be tied down helping change the diapers, etc. of all of my illegitimate children.....there will be that many more turkeys (won't really matter whether L. Thompson is hunting them or not as he isn't much of a threat to them regardless) for me to aggravate over the next several years that ya'll won't be fooling with and killing. Ya'll are some of the best pals a guy could hope for....I'm extremely grateful.
