I did it as not to interfere or possibly it be used in court . I’d hate to be the one that let him off after he’s done swallowed the hook . His days of internet fame are all but over .
Pro tip : if you kill a turkey in the am while poaching you can’t come back and try to kill another again after lunch legally.

Looks like ol popgunsuperslam got 6 grandslams in 2021 killing all 24 turkeys with his 410. Wonder how many of those he poached

The Bama Easterns were probably the only potential ones. I don’t imagine the 18 Osceollas, Rios, and Merriams he paid $78,000 to show up and popgun involved any poaching.

Is it possible to legally kill 6 Osceolas in one season/year ? Aren't they only in Florida ?

Florida is the only place to kill Osceolas and strangely enough.......the limit is 2 turkeys per season in FL. As Skinny often says, hmmmm.

So if he did happen to also kill an eastern while in FL, he would only be allowed (1) Osceola.

2 in the fall season after the turn of the year, 2 in the spring, 2 in the next fall before the turn of the year.

Indian reservation , Jeff Budz buys all the tags . As long as you are willing to pay 4K per bird you can shoot all the Osceolas you can pay for . ( different rules from state limits etc.)

Well popgun made an account on here 0 post and 1 pm to ask what all I knew about it . I do know that it has not went to court yet . As much as we all wish they would hurry up I’d say it will be in the august/September time frame before he gets his due process.

He got off easy!!! He was caught on camera HUNTING without a permit and plead guilty to trespassing. Our game warden told me it’s a $1000 fine for trespassing.
