Stevens model 320 turkey choke - 03/13/22 10:01 PM

Recommendations. Taking a 14 yr old on his first hunt this year and he's not likely to kill anything outside of 25 yds with his current set up. He has model 320 12 gauge with modified and no other chokes. Patterned today and he'll be in trouble outside of 25 yds with the modified.

Me and my son both have a 320 with a truglo choke and shoot tss. 40-50yds is no problem. We havent tried further yet but itll turn em a flip at that range.

Thanks.

After a 15 min conversation with salesman at local outdoor sports store (not a chain store), I bought a Carlson's for Browning "Invector". This was before I checked this thread this evening. Chart said it would work. No return policy, (because of covid is what the sign said) on turkey chokes so I tried to make sure it would work before I bought it. Inlet end of choke won't even clear the barrel threads. No return policy or not, I will be taking it back and if they won't refund, it's the last dollar I'll ever spend there.

That should be the choke that fits those guns. Be careful as there is an "invector" and an "invector plus"

Maybe I'm doing something wrong, I'll try again.

Only about an inch of the choke makes into the barrel, the threads never even enter the barrel before the choke tube stops.

Take the old choke out first

If your saying the threads are on the muzzle end of the choke, then it's the wrong choke. Invector chokes should have threads on the bottom or receiver end of the choke. Sounds like you have an invector DS choke.

Wrong choke. I stood there and asked the guy what the diff was between DS and Plus, he couldn't tell me. Chart just said "invector".

I should have taken the factory choke with me to compare but hadn't planned on going there, just found myself on that side of town for another reason and stopped in.

My factory chokes are only about an inch long. More or less just the thread part of that choke im holding in the picture

This is a factory choke. About 1 1/2" long. Notice the thread pattern is about the same
