Do I read it right that you can only kill 2 birds off the same wma? What the heck kinda rule is that.

It's called the Ridgestalker Regulation , it's to try and keep them off the endangered list. Only applies to Skyline hunters from NJ.

I'm actually more disappointed in the 1 bird the first 10 days rule, especially since all WMAs went to April 1 or later opener.
Good hunters are punished to increase the odds of more hunters getting a turkey.

It's popping up in multiple states and you can expect to see more of it.

Bad hunters are not gonna get a turkey either way

I posted endlessly against the buck limit, just because of where I thought it would take us. I was not at all interested in killing more than 3 bucks, but I thought the enforcement of it would change the AL system of game management from one that was primarily landowner controlled to one that was mostly state controlled. Most hunters didn't care; all they want is a buck with larger antlers and no price was too high to get it.

I guess the irony is that deer hunting overall is much worse than it was when they passed it.

the reason for the 2 bird limit is because the wma's are overrun with predators that are destroying the turkey and deer
the state cant manage those predators but find it easier to manage you so the predators will have more to eat
