One gobbled good in the tree so I set up 75 yards from him. Didn’t call till I felt he was about ready to hit the ground. I cluck 2x and he hammered. 20 min go by with no gobble and I know he’s on the ground by now. Somehow that turkey got behind me and was strutting at 20 yards. I call tell what what happened when I turned my to see what was making in noise but you can about guess how fast he got airborne. Fun morning

Re: LFTW 4-19 - 04/19/21 05:54 PM

Got on one gobbling good. Moved on him 7 or 8 times. He came to where I called the first time. Could hear him below the hill on my last setup but had 3 deer come downwind of me and end the game. He still gobbled but backed away from close to 150 yards. Never took another step in my direction. Gobbling died out and after a LONG wait, I gave up.

Lots of fun!!

Awesome swamp fever congrats - I miss hunting Missouri - birds always gobbled good - had few mornings over years where I heard 15 to 20 plus gobblers - never do that in Bama where I hav hunted - even in my best ever spots years ago - my thing close to that
