For those that don't know him, Parker (guy with ear gauges) is a good dude. I actually became friends with him by running into him in the turkey woods. If you judge a book by it's cover, you probably wouldn't know that he's a worship leader at a church, is a good dude, and is a straight up public land deer and turkey killer.

Want to know what I think? I think the sum total of the video is a perfect piece of indictment evidence of the ridiculous cluster that turkey hunting has become and is becoming. Take away social media, the ability to be a hip public land fanboy/cowboy, cameras in the spring woods, Youtube channels, selfies, hashtags, and all that other stupid basstourney-esque shucks that has been brought into turkey hunting and we would never have to watch such train wreck videos from God’s precious gift of the majestic spring woods again.

This thread is a perfect example of what's wrong with the hunting community. These dudes put a lot of time and energy into doing these hunts and producing this video and people just come on here and bash everything they do from the ear holes to the amount of calling they're doing.

I was turkey hunting way before YouTube. If you have never experienced a cluster of a turkey hunt, you must not have hunted them long. I guess you only shoot one shot then just wave at them if you miss😂😂. I will say two of the guys in the video are killers. I can’t speak for the other.

Waayyy too much calling . It happens sometimes to everyone , but if your looking for constructive criticism need to watch some live hens interact with gobblers and adjust your calling accordingly . But that part aside there is a dead bird so congrats .

Turkey hunters in general can get a real high opinion of themselves if they ever get to consistently laying down gobblers - I got to thinking I was something when I was laying them down all the time in the 90s - as I got older and more experience I realized I had a pretty good property then - it all starts there. I got news for us - ain’t none of us the best in the world. I hav hunted with some show nuff good hunters - but they weren’t the best either

It all starts w having birds and any of us can get humbled on any given day and if u consistently laying them them down - u probably pretty good but u also got a dang good spot

Good dude or not. If someone wants to mutilate their body by stretching out their ear holes there’s a chance they will be looked down upon. Same way with face tattoos, lizard tongues, those under the skin devil horns......etc. I think a lot of these youtubers just seek attention. Kinda like someone that would stretch out their ear holes.

Wish I wouldn’t have wasted my time watching it - butt then I was taking a dump anyway, so the video was appropriate at the time. Wonder what the problem is with those people that feel the need to make videos of themselves hunting and posting on the interweb? Guess they have some weird need for attention, think their cool or whatever. I don’t get it. Ear gages make a person look like a total dipshit to me... Just my opinion though.

I enjoyed it and can care less about what the guy looks like. I like that the footage was raw and it showed the good and bad of the hunt. It was a real hunt and not edited to make himself look like he's the only guy that knows anything. Thanks for sharing.
