Where I left off yesterday, when I snuck out with 2 birds gobbling and coming in after I shot.
First gobble I heard today was 6:00. It was bright and highly visible with the moon.
This one had hens with him, and 2 of his brothers. Had to get aggressive with the calling to break them from the hens. Once I did that, they all gobbled at every call, and got hot and heated, closing the distance quickly.
Shot the stutter, and waited 30 minutes for the 2 brothers to leave. They were dedicated to staying with the dead.
It was 7:53 before pulling the trigger.
God Bless,
David B.
