Yes. Had one gobbling his head off before daylight. Got a glimpse of him at 50 yards moving between two trees. He was moving away for awhile and I caught up to him and had him come in. Thought I had him but he hung up behind a thick patch of bay trees. Never would come out. Bumped him again about 10 mins. ago and he flew off. I broke the first rule of turkey hunting. Had another hunter calling about 150 yds. out so I'm leaving.

Got in beautiful bottom in dark - bird was 225 yards across line and gobbling in dark - gobbled good on limb them flew down to his hens that did not talk to me a bunch - also saw another hen and what I think was gobbler in tree about 70 yards across line and he was not the one gobbling - I was 30 yards from line and kind of out of game but it was fun hunt

Was still at work at 8

Good luck guys - awesome morning to go

Re: Lftw 3/30 - 03/30/21 02:37 PM

Where I left off yesterday, when I snuck out with 2 birds gobbling and coming in after I shot.
First gobble I heard today was 6:00. It was bright and highly visible with the moon.

This one had hens with him, and 2 of his brothers. Had to get aggressive with the calling to break them from the hens. Once I did that, they all gobbled at every call, and got hot and heated, closing the distance quickly.

Shot the stutter, and waited 30 minutes for the 2 brothers to leave. They were dedicated to staying with the dead.

It was 7:53 before pulling the trigger.

Re: Lftw 3/30 - 03/30/21 02:54 PM

Congrats to the killas probably my last sit of the year. Not a peep of anything on the limb last two days. Got on a bird at 12 yesterday he started gobbling bout 400 yards down a road from me. I closed in to bout 150 yards set up a few soft yelps and he answered I waited 5 minutes throwed some more at him he answered real close. I was set up just around a slight curve. Waited for him to step around. Then my heart sank I could hear him walking right behind me then a spit and drum then another. If I had to guess I’m gonna say 7 steps and as quick as he showed up he was gone never laid eyes on him.

#2 down for the count. 19.6 lbs 11 inch beard right 1 1/16 left 1 inch. Was a long sit today after not hearing anything this morning I decided to try another spot made my way around to it around 9 this morning. Set up gave out a series of yelps had a hen to talk back. We exchanged conversations for a little while and she finally went silent. I decided to jus set it out and wait. 2 hours later I see the hens easing towards me and had him on a leash. 30 yards 410 9.5’s tss
