Dot or bead
Who likes the a red dot over a bead? I just mounted a vortex on my m2 havent got to shoot it yet but seems weird shouldering the gun and seeing a dot

I love the dot for turkey hunting! Never thought I would but needed it for the gun I was shooting couple years ago and I’ll always have one now

Prefer a dot, shooting a bead on my current 20 gauge M2 however.

Bead, iron sights, or crosshairs for me. Shot a couple hundred shells last year trying to get used to a red dot and I couldn’t. Been dog hunting about my whole life so I’m sure that plays a big part of it.

Love my Magnum Gobble Dot Pro Series.
Me too, I do not like optics on my shotgun. To each their own.

I’ve used Magnum Gobble Dot Pro Series fiber optics on my turkey guns for years but went to a red dot last year on one of them. That thing is REALLY nice and don’t know that’ll I’ll go back. I turn the red dot down really low so that it is just visible. I found it much easier to line up on the head because you can see the whole bird easier.

Factory bead. Thinking about making the switch to red dot on my 870

Bead or sights. They don't fog up in damp weather.
Bead for me. Only time I even considered a dot was when I had a shotgun that was way off poa/ poi.

Put a Burris FF3 on my gun last week. It’s gonna be fine once I get used to holding my head up a little to see the dot. I’m so used to having my cheek and head down tight against the stock looking straight down barrel lining up a front and rear bead for 30 years, it feels a little awkward lifting up a little.
Dr. B
Just went and sighted my gun in already love it can’t wait put the dot on a red white and blue head

I want to like a red dot, but I've seen enough pinhoti videos to know they will fog up on you or give you visual issues in less than ideal weather. I hunted multiple times last year where that would have been an issue. Fiber optic bead for me.

So, what does happen when you have to lift your head off the stock a little to see a sight? 12 gauge magnum 4's have a little thump.

I have killed turkeys with every single aiming method there is. They all have pros and cons. My personal favorite is a reflex sight dot like FF3. I will never use anything else.

You shoot which ever works best for you no matter what everyone else is doing

I’ve missed them with both, but I’ve missed fewer with a dot than I have with a bead.
I been shooting things with a bead for 60yrs. Don’t think I could get used to anything else.
