Need some advice on what kind of boots I need to hunt in South Dakota for turkeys? I wear Danner snake boots here in Alabama but dont think I will need them up thier.. thanks in advance

When I hunted there years back the last week of the season which was around May 11-15 ish - some of the mornings were 25-30 degrees

I would get a good waterproof uninsulated hiking boot like Crispi summit

Please be aware that if it’s remotely warm, the ticks could potentially be worse that you’ve ever seen. I usually wear lacrosses up there so I can tuck my pants in them and spray down with permethrin

I just purchased a pair of Hart’s Turkey Hunters from Russell. Hopefully they will be here by mid February.

Whatever Brand you decide Make sure they are warm and waterproof

Unless you’re only planning to hunt 1 day, you’ll want a second pair that you can rotate in and out.
