Saving turkeys - 12/24/19 08:00 PM

Got some traps couple weeks ago and gonna try my best to get rid of as many as possible! Any tips on best bait would be appreciated, I just mixed some peanut butter, corn and vanilla extract because that’s all I had at the house and it worked but if y’all got any better ideas feel free to share.

Put 3 large marshmallows in the DP traps. Stick the trigger through one of them.

Marshmallows. Simple and cheap. If using the large ones, make sure to shove one all the way down or put the trigger through it as Fur said

I stick a large marshmallow on the trigger, set it and put a couple drops of vanilla extract on the marshmallow.

I had 2 trapped at the same feeder this weekend they scared the deer off before my daughter could shoot as they fought each other. Sounded like some kind of horrible battle they were having

I use cheap cat food. Put a rock on top so it won't get wet from rain.

Sardined, marshmallows, dog food. I’ve even used the trash bag from McDonald’s ( with the empty wrappers and fry sleeves) in cubby sets. Raccoons love trash.

I'm waiting on the end of deer season to start trapping. Once its finished, I'll hit it hard until start of turkey season. I've got 18 dog proofs that I'll run every night and I'm going to be learning and setting my first coyote and bobcat sets.
