Turkey season delayed on some WMAs?

Turkey season delayed on some WMAs? - 08/19/17 02:47 PM

I had read an article that mentioned a delayed opening of turkey season on some WMA where the turkey studies have been ongoing. Skyline was one of the WMAs mentioned and just saw the 2017-18 hunt schedule for Skyline. It looks like those of us that hunt Skyline lost 9 days this coming season ... I guess it could have been worse. It will be interesting to see how many tickets are written for adults hunting on March 17th which is the youth hunt day on Skyline.

Something happened at Skyline. Place I could ALWAYS go to and fool with a turkey is practically devoid of them now. I've got to find another spot or my turkey days are over. Hope they come back but it's been bad 3-4 years.

This man is obviously a Jackson County turkey hunter trying to convince the crowds to go elsewhere. Y'all don't fall for it. Very few turkeys in Talladega NF. I would concentrate my efforts somewhere else.
