Starting this thread is not really my gig but here goes. Anyway, I roosted a bird last night that normally roosts on top of a ridge point. Last night he was dead in the creek bottom, maybe in anticipation of the line of storms that came thru. Y'all go get ' em.

Season is still in, isn't it? I've got one more batch of heavy rain about to hit, then I 'm going to the edge of a pasture.

Yeah but most of us went to bed with the weather predicting severe thunder storms all morning. Then I wake up to sunshine. Hell atleast I can listen from my porch

I sat on a ridge that two birds walked down yesterday for two hours in the pouring rain. Radar had showed it about to clear up before I left the truck at daylight. I've had enough for a while, might go back out of the sun comes out

Well I freaking missed one. He was coming across following a hen, gobbling and in 1/2 strut, and he was moving fast. I clicked the safety off and started squeezing the trigger. He had his neck stretched out and as i pulled the trigger, he popped his neck back down. This gun is shooting a little high anyway, and I shot right over him. Great way to finish a season up smdh
