lacrosse or muck snake boots - 02/16/17 10:22 PM

Anybody have any experience with either of these boots in water? Headed south of Orlando in April to tromp around. Guessing there might be a few swamps down there so figured I might need some good rubber snake boots. Any other suggestions would be appreciated.

I used my Lacrosse rubber snake boots in Osceola county a few years ago. Never had a problem with them.

ive never owned the lacrosse or muck "snake" boots but ive owned plenty of there other boots. Acception of the alpha burly classic "grange" boot(the old green ones, all I wear in warm weather most of the time) regular lacrosse boot soles are glued on where the classics are vulcanized one piece rubber. every pair of alpha burly sports I ever owned the sole came off and they started leakin bout 3/4 of the way through turkey season seamed like id buy one pair for turkeys season then another for deer. this was awhile back an it seems that the quality has risen tho my brother did buy a pair of the arrowheads and the sole fell of of them too. mucks are WAYYYYYYYYY beter built but not in the same universe of comfort like the lacrosse, tho they are still pretty good boots and do a much better job keepin ur feet warm(provided you stuff them on a boot dryer everytime you take them off) NOW... as far as a snake boot goes, I wear original chippewas because they are super comfy and fairly light not to mention they are made in USA and quality is great. But 80% of the time I just wear my old green lacrosse boots because they are light and comfortable and tho they have went to china theys till hold up about 2-3 years of hard hunting without leaking(provided you keep them out of the sun when they are wet or they will crack.)for your question and qualitys sake, try on the muck, I have and it feels like a better boot than the lacrosse

I've got muck snake boots. I wore them a majority of deer season. They are about as good as you can get. This will be my 2nd or 3rd spring in them

I have the first style of muck snake boots and the newer pursuit model. The new ones aren't anywhere near the boot that the older ones were. I've had the older ones for about five years and they have been an awesome pair, but the new ones lack the comfort and have fallen apart much quicker.

I'm going to switch to either lacrosse or bogs.
