First time checking in on turkey hunting this year. Been a really tough year for me on Little River and Skyline I count the gobbles Ive heard all year on one hand been about twice a week all season. On Little River now haven't heard a peep chilling on my phone see if something happens in time. They may just been henned up. Crazy day yesterday maybe can get some peace and quiet maybe even a bird today. Good luck guys
unfortunately all good things must come to an end....I have hit the club limit. now to find somewhere new to hunt during the week while I'm in Montgomery.
First 20 gauge bird for me this morning to finish my AL season. Truly blessed again! I don't deserve them, but the Lord let me have another great hunt!
Southwood7, that's the ghost of turkey hunters past punishing you for not telling of where gobbling birds are located that you are not hunting yourself. Only one way to reconcile that bad juju.
Congrats on the kills. I won't go again til Saturday. I'm praying that the turkey gods will have vocal suicidal bird there for my son to take a shot at!!

Congrats. You'll retire the heavy 12 now.
I don't know. That ole 12 has got lots of experience, which is worth something. It's also really balanced with some custom work that I spent some time getting like I wanted.
Man what a day. Heard 10 different birds. Got caught less than 75 yds from a roosted bird at sun up gobbled his head off but knew we were there. Got on the next bird about 300yds away. Had him a few steps away from flopping when a doe smelled us and ran past the bird spooking him. He started gobbling again about 200yds away but was set on moving away from us. After 3 different set ups and 3hrs we finally got to a spot that he liked. Rolled him at 45yds with a load of TSS. 10" beard 1" spurs.
Congrats to all that scored today. I heard one gobble good and got to work him. My shooter saw him and I heard him drum several times. He had a hen with him and wouldn't leave her.
