Going after I get off @ 5:30am. Hope there is still at least one stupid turkey left cause I cant seem to kill the smart ones.

Headed to a new spot in lee co today. Buddy called me last night and said he had 2 roosted within an ear shot of his back porch so hopefully the plan comes together.

I am here at this little green field just sat down. Let's play..

Had 1 bird gobbling about 12 times. He ain't said nothing in 30 minutes. Waiting. ..

Went to a friends club today and we took a guy that we help get his first longbeard.

He shot at 620. Great display of gobbling. He came in strutting and got shot at 20 yards.

Heard one on the roost. Had a couple of hens with him. They flew down and went the other way.

Had one gobble good on the roost. He flew down with a jake and 4-5 hens. Got him to break away from the hens and come across the pasture, but he hung up at 80 yards and wouldnt come any closer.

Heard nothing in Lee Co

Heard few on roost. Watched hen fly down in field alone. Birds haven't said a word in a few hours.

Have I ever said how much I love turkeys?
Well I finally found two completely blind and stupid gobblers. I killed one of them. He has a 10 1/2" beard and 1 1/8" spurs. Heard 7 gobble total. Had three gobbling coming in, but only saw two. Shot him at 0715. I dont know how to post pics.

I'm a retard. Got complacent and missed one at 630 this Am. 25 steps. I just got caught up in the moment and lost focus. I'm sick to my stomach. Gonna be a tough day.

Called in 2 hens and that was it....

Didn't hear chit. Back at camp by 750 and headed on to work. Screw em.

Partner got the shot at 10. We didn't hear a gobble till 9 but he was ready to die!

Just got my 80yr old uncle his first turkey in 3yrs....it was just a jake but we're both excited as hell!

Got on my nightmare bird. He gobbled over 100 times at least. Set up on him 4 different times, nearly drowned, and he ran out of oxygen, eventually. sumbitch!

That is a trophy hunt if I have ever seen one!! Congrats to you and your uncle!!
