Set up this morning in a hardwood plot, hay field on both sides that leads to a creek with thick privet. Foggy here.
Just bought a new range finder last night at academy...it says I'm either 7 or 8 yards from every tree here ...wow
May be taking this joker back tonight, wonder if this fog is playing tricks in it?

Fog does that to mine also.

Fog will effect a range finder even the most expensive surveying equipment will have the same problem.

Doe came thru, just out of a shooting lane ....

Another doe came through just not in a lane....ugh

I'm bout to head that way. Toting my longbow this evening.

Out on Wheeler, I think there is a duck convention going on in the swamp.

That's where they all are...since all my duck hunting buddies say there aren't any this year...

I got down at lunch and trimmed some limbs

Spent the morning changing up some stands to accommodate the shift in pattern. Just dropped my buddy off on a food plot with his bow. I'm totin the trusty AR10 today. Set up in a small road spot that we planted next to some pines. No one has hunted it all season. We will see.

Overlooking a field to observe for chasing. Got my decoy out, waiting on 4:45, when they come out. The decoy is where my finger is. Been chasing deer since October and I'm tired.

Almost got a shot on a doe but she was a touch too far.

Passed up a doe earlier, then saw a spike and another buck that woulda been whacked if he wasn't broke up

Saw 12 pigs but they were too far for the longbow.

5 does, no bucks. Buddy killed a nice 8 with rifle
