Trying out my new ground blind. Just down the road from some fresh scrapes in a new spot. Hope something, anything in fact walks by. I haven't killed a deer with a bow in 6 years.

Drove my wides truck this evenin. Naturally forgot my key. Parked at sign in board and went to walking climber in hand. Found a beautiful spot but it's thick. Deer crap everywhere. Guess I am in there living room.

Dreary afternoon hoping one slips in before the rain sets in

I'm sitting in a hardwood bottom between 5 year old pines. It's been raining lightly and zero wind. Saw two gobbler earlier and heard a deer walking in the pines but haven't seen one yet. Still got a good hour of light.

Gotta find him first, didn't get a pass through, got decent blood for 200yds, now I've lost it. I think the rain is washing it out

Only saw one doe today when I went to scout out a line of scrapes, she was too far for a shot. I'm finding scrapes that were tended to this week, but it am no longer seeing the bucks on Cahaba like I had been. I fear I missed prime time last week while I was out of town.

after my noon time snack got back in the woods with my son trying to get him his first buck. had a nice 8 cross the logging rd behind our stand but could get position for a shot. they bucks are just now starting to cruise down my way.

Skunked again. This has been a tough season to say the least
