This happen on November 15 ... Last Saturday in the same tree I shot a bigger buck and lost him ... Man I'm having some bad luck....

Had that happen to me once but was able to pull my bow back up real slow and killed him at 20 yds.

Dang buddy that sucks! That's always been one of my fears. Haven't had it happen yet.

Happened to me one time when I was climbing up. Got half way up and I hear blowing and crashing coming up the hill, here they come a buck chasing a doe he's on her tail just a gruntin, meanwhile my gun it still on the ground. I had my grunt tube around my neck so I started to hit it the buck stopped came over looked at me and got right back after the doe. Very cool, I did'nt feel too bad about it because the buck was not a shooter.

Good thing is I'm seeing good deer ...

Heck yeah. I'd just be happy with that. The rest will fall into place.

I had it happen opening morning of gun on cahaba. They gave out permits so late it was daylight when I got in my stand. I had a similar experience on a public land 6 point. I was hunting at Skeegee and had JUST sat down in my stand when I see a nice 18" wide mature 6 point walking straight towards me about 50 yards away. I start trying to slowly pull up my bow and he saw it moving, watched me pull it up to the stand, turned and walked away.

I saw a post in here yesterday where someone had found a nice buck at wheeler that someone had shot. Maybe it was yours. He had the rack to give back if you could describe it and the location.

I believe the guy said he found one on TVA land not Wheeler.

that sucks man... But that is why I don't use a rope. I bought a bow holder that is attached to my tree stand. My bow is on it the second I start climb till I need it or Im back at the bottom of my tree..
