Getting dressed and bout to walk to stand. May not need a light wIth the moon. Going Back to a spot I went yesterday afternoon to actually watch for where to hunt this afternoon. Hopefully one will slip up and get close this morning. Might bust an ol slick head and given the opportunity. Good luck folks.

Finally. A lone doe or spike just crossed. 80 yards. If it's a doe, she better not come this way.

I'm going to have to hire you as a guide. I never see squat out there.

I spent all morning out at Wheeler. Didn't see squat, but at least it was a nice morning. Jealous of you guys that seem to see stuff all the time :P

Hope someone gets something today!

Re: 12/9/14 LFTT - 12/09/14 03:22 PM

I have been hunting public land for a long time and have found a few good spots that I see deer , but I also spend a lot of time hunting. I bounce around so much the pressure is very very low in my honey holes. I never see anyone in the places I hunt. The national forest covers a lot of area and I stay as far from the management area as I can due to low deer density.

Back at it again. I was hunting a fire break yesterday evening and the deer made it to me at dark. To late to see em. I got inside the woods a ways this afternoon. They better not do the same thing as yesterday.

Stare down last ten minutes. Oh how I wish I could have had a window to shoot. Two does and a yearling. Got caught watching two and the other slipped up different direction. When it blew, I bout jumped out of my seat.
