Seven Mile Island

I hunted SMI when I was in college and really enjoyed it. I'm gonna take a trip up there either the end of this month or first of January. Any of y'all plan on hunting it?

I work for Cleburne County Sheriffs Office. Been there about three months now.

OH OK.. YOU EVER THOUGHT ABOUT VENTURING UP TO BERRY COLLEGE IN GA AND ARCHERY HUNT THAT??. WISH THEY HAD TURKEY SEASON ON 7 MILE

I've never hunted Berry. I've thought about it a lot. I know a lot of people that hunt up there. It's loaded with deer.

IM GOING TO GO NEXT SEASON AND MIGHT VENTURE UP THERE DURING TURKEY SEASON. JUST GOT TO FIND OUT HOW TO GET THE PERMITS

I can give you some info to some guys that hunt it a lot. I'm sure they can help you out.

Archery you don't have to have permits, If you want to gun hunt you have to put in for the quota for certain dates. Not familiar with berry but most wmas are about an every other year draw on the rut hunt. You build priorities each year you are rejected.

When you say "seven mile island", do you mean the actual island or not the island? I am considering kayaking around the island to try to stick a hog along the bank. Any thoughts on that?

I've never hunted the actual island. My weekend trip up there got washed out by the way.
