Yep. I estimated it somewhere in the high 150's. I tend to underestimate them. I told her fiancé what Matt had posted and that he could take it to the bank.

Dang. You might call me a liar but the score I came up with when you posted this today was 169 1/4" gross. I was pretty close. For her first kill, did she even know the deer existed? Was she after it or did she just stumble into this one?

No, I don't believe I did Swampy. This was here first buck killed with a bow. Her fiancé sent me a couple of more pics last night. If I had killed I'd still be taking pictures





A few more details I can share: the property it was killed on is family owned and has been intensely managed for years. Her brother killed a big 10pt several weeks ago. They did not have any trail camera photos of it.

The North American Whitetails scorer made a mistake. It was scored again by an official B&C scorer today. It grossed 162 6/8" and netted 156.

Thats more like it. Great deer but no 170". Still 40" bigger than any I ever killed.
