Climbed a tree with water oaks all around next to a fresh clearcut. The wind is perfect for this stand, weather should have the deer moving. Beautiful morning to be sitting in a stand.

I'll be LFTBT (live from the blood trail) a little later. Emmett stuck what he said was a big mature 6pt. yesterday evening. Had pretty good blood for about 150 yards and found where it had bedded down and gotten back up. So we backed out. Gonna meet him at 8:30 and look for it again.

I'm in a funnel between two bottoms, in some thinned pines. Be a great morning if the wind would stop, don't see that happening though!

slept in this morning. 25 degree weather plus a good wind just didn't sound appetizing to a sleep deprived me thing morning. I have only hunted once in the afternoon this year, gonna go take care of work stuff this morning and make it a long afternoon hunt this evening at the farm. good luck yall.

Sitting in a shooting house my dad killed a 135 out of last year. I'm sick of this wind!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Any action yet? Nothing moving but wind for me.

I've seen a bird so far and nothing else. Wind is horrible. Gonna stay about 30 more minutes unless they start moving lol. They were in the food plots early yesterday afternoon- 330

I walked up on 5 does around 1 pm yesterday scouting. I accidentally found somebody's honey hole out here on the Cahaba. This person took a lot of time and effort to michetti a long path to a creek bottom with acorns. It was a very nice spot. I think I may go hit that spot this evening actually. I hope they don't mind if I borrow it for a hunt.

Zero deer seen so far today. Brutal cold in the tree stand.

Moved on to another promising food plot at Black Warrior. Wind swirling, but I'm high in a pine.

I decided to stay in my spot.

Just got settled in on a hardwood knoll at the farm. A small creek that eventually feeds the black warrior to my left and dropping white oaks and swamp chestnuts to my right. There has been a scrape 50 yards from here every year, maybe big boy will be passing through today

Hunting small green field this afternoon, just right for a bowhunter. Sitting on a small sumit tripod that is sit down shooting only. Good luck yall.

I'm set up in some thinned pines about 60 yards off a foodplot. This is the spot I smoked the nannerhead in about 3 weeks ago.

I'm sitting in a ground blind on a small green field surrounded by thinned pines on 3 sides and a thick cut over on the other. Field looks great and they've been hitting it. I learned today that I like a ground blind on a windy day. Haven't seen anything though.

I saw 4 big nannerheads and 2 yearlings. I had two of the bigger ones in range but couldn't make a shot happen. Y'all give'em hell tomorrow. Emmett and I are taking the day off to watch the Bama game.
