Mud creek hunt

Anyone planning on making it out to the water fowl refuge hunt at mud creek or the other nearby refuges? The attendance seemed low last year. Just didn't know how many of the aldeer guys make it out.

I'll be there I go every year and fight the crowd. Your right though attendance was down last year.

I hope that I get there early enough, last year I was late and the woods lit up like a Christmas tree when I tried to walk in.

Yeah I have got in my tree stand before at 2:00 down there. Trying to beat the crowd.

I can post up the coordinates to Mossy's tree to the highest bidder. He kills a deer every year there.

I used to enjoy it but I hate fighting the crowds. We have a new plan this year I hope works better.

1st-8th, in reality 9-10 is when most leave so it might not be bad timing

My husband is heading down tonight to camp and hunt the next two days...

when I hunted it I got there 2 hrs before light.

Well although it seemed that total attendance was down last year I think I got there at 4 am and couldn't hardly find a spot to park

find a good escape route and get in around 9 or a little before. You can thank me later. By 10 most will be leaving or gone and back around 2:30-3.

Well I have saw one hunter and that's it.

I seen a few this morning all too far to shoot.

Saw 18-20 this morning. Missed one. Nothing yet this afternoon.

I'm glad that someone had a good day. Keep us updated I usually don't make it back out there after opening morning.
