Does the cold weather get 'em moving or will they just stay bedded in those kinds of winds?

I agree. Find you a holler/draw or some sort of hole get of the wind and it's usually productive.

biggest deer I've ever shot at, and the most deer I've ever seen at once was when the wind was blowing 20 plus

i was hunting on a club 2 years ago where you were lucky to see a deer. one day it was blowing 20 and gusting to about 30, i thought about staying at camp but decided i would go sit on the gas line, i saw 13 deer that evening.

I have hunted in the wind numerous times and rarely see anything. guess I'm hunting the wrong spots in the wind.

Listen to this man. I did last year and busted a nice buck in 20MPH north winds. If you've got a spot tight to their bedding area, hunt it.

Most of my BIG deer have come from 20+ mph out of the NNW.

That's exactly what the forecast says the wind will be like at our place tomorrow. I may need to rethink not going.

Deer move most when wind speed drops briefly below 14 mph but then gusts to 17

Nah. Those were 25 mph winds out of the SE. laugh

I saw 15 today. Most I've seen all year in one hunt. It was a tough sit though.
