Quiver clearance issues due to HHA dial sight

Quiver clearance issues due to HHA dial sight - 05/19/14 08:27 PM

I have a Hoyt Carbon Spider 34 with Hoyt quiver and my HHA dial sight only allows me to use 2 of my 4 arrow holders. Can anyone give me some suggestions? I have thought about a tightspot quiver with HHA extension, but dang they are proud of them. The only other thing is to replace the sight, and I really don't think I should do that. Thanks in advance.

Could you space it out away from your sight ..?
I've used plumbing washer for spacers in the past ..?!

Hoyt quiver is maxed out.....dial just sticks out too far.

A couple aluminum ferules for crimping steel cable would likely work. Any hardware store should carry them. You may have to add slightly longer screws.

You could just cut some carbon arrows and use for spacers or use the ones that came with the sight.

A carbon arrow piece that short wouldnt be strong IMO and crack/fray under pressure and movement. Carbon gets its strength from the lengths of fibers and resin, the width not so much. At least on something that narrow.

EDIT: Shakeyshooter, pm me an address and Ill drop a few different sized aluminum ferrules in the mail. I got plenty, wont cost you a thing to try it out. thumbup

Quiver is mounted to the riser, not the sight.

Thanks TCHunter and BustinBeards. I used that idea on a slider HHA, but the new sight in question is a dial. I'm not mechanically inclined..lol

That's what I used for years. Works good.

I went with a quiver that would allow me mount directly to my sight. Clearance issues solved. Thanks everyone
