You can't hunt Oak Mountain without being IBEP certified. Also some other states require it if you are going to bow hunt.

True. I think eight states require bow certification.

Some are now requiring ATV and treestand safety classes. More BS.

I think the number of states and providences is around 15 now. BHA requires it just for their UDCP hunters.

Thanks. I know it's not a trophy hunt, but has there been any good ones killed up there, since some have been thinned out?

There have been some okay bucks taken. I think some in the 110's. You always here stories about monsters up there. But, none have been brought in! LOL

I know things were really bad up there, population wise. How much has the weights increased?

They are actually getting pretty good. I think the mature doe avg is right at 100 lbs now.

Not right now. But, there is some talk of a couple more locations for next year. Stay tuned.

There is word that sometime in the near future the whole IBEP course can be completed online.
