LFTT 1/27 - 01/27/21 01:10 PM
Back on the slough from yesterday. Breaking my own rule hunting a spot 2 days in a row, we shall see how it goes. We must’ve had a good bit of rain, the sloughs up several feet and there’s standing water in the low spots. I’ve killed 2 pope and young skeeters already.

I'm at my parents place in Choctaw county. The rain just stopped and I got in my stand at 7:45. It has rained a lot down here. I can hear the water flowing in the creek that's 150 yards down in the bottom from me. Had a good 8 pt come through here on the 25th at 12:12 pm. Maybe he'll come back this morning so my NTN can have a little fun.
I’m trying my best to get back in the woods. Been busy the past few weeks. I still got another buck to tag.

Good to see you posting JD.
I’m in a hardwood drain on a slough that backs up to a thick bedding area. I was hoping for more water in here to help push the deer to my high spot. Normally the tree I climb I have to walk through calf high water, still dry underneath. The winds a bit briskly but the sun popped out, nice afternoon to sit in a tree.

I saw one little spike this morning. I got down at 12:30 to grab a bit to eat and I'm back in the same stand this afternoon. Second minor feeding time is 3:41-4:41 so maybe big luey will walk by pretty soon. My dad is about 400 yards away in a shooting house watching a green field. He's cheating though because he's got his 22-250.
Did you guys sling an arrows this evening?
