Still, cold, gorgeous morning.
Dammit. I’m probably going to have to buy another tree stand if I’m gonna start this bow hunting again.
My buddy’s Lone Wolf sure is nice.

Not sure where you are at in Calhoun Co but friend of mine’s dad killed a good buck Monday and he was all rutted up. This was about 10 miles from the Joseph Springs check station on the WMA. I had a buck chase a doe past me on the NF close to Cheaha Friday so hang tight. Maybe a good one will be slipping by looking for a doe. Definitely on the back end of things out there but still a good time to be in the woods out that way.

Went in dark and climbed blind in a SMZ with water oaks, the pines make a pinch point in there. Saw 3, not bad for climbing blind

Saw a nice 5 pointer 15 minutes before dark. Pretty cool encounter.
