Starting off bad and aint even started yet! - 11/06/19 08:52 PM

Less than 15 hours before we leave for Ohio for and early Thanksgiving with my wife's dad's side of the family that we haven't seen since my wife's dad passed away two years ago. They've got 4 bigger plots of land said i can hunt and rut should be on the next few days so i was going to try to get in 3-4 sits. I was going to shoot the crossbow on my lunch break to narrow down my bolts between the top 3 closest to target at further distances. Well had about two bolts left and POW, bolt went way left of the block target and string popped my left arm, snapped where it connects on the right cam! This was my father n law's crossbow we inherited when he passed away so it's pretty sentimental to me and would really mean a lot to me if I took a buck with it up there with his side of the family, but looks like that's out of the question now. My compound is shooting fine, I'm just not that confident past 30 yards with it and my right shoulder is not what it used to be, tore my rotator cuff and broke my collar bone in the same shoulder in high school and it still bothers me some when pulling back a compound, but it looks like its all i will have up there now unless someone knows where i can get a string put on a Barnett Raptor Fx before 5am! Hoping this isn't the start to a "string" of bad luck!

Prayers are appreciated but not required!!!

Take crossbow with you and find a bow shop up there.

Take both, just in case you can't find a string
