12 yr old forgot his release so he is using mine while I wait on daylight to do something else. Oh well,
Maybe he will remembered from now on.

Set up behind my house on the edge of a creek. Haven’t had any bucks on camera here since last season. But maybe one will mess up

I’m on the edge of a loading deck sitting over a feeder. I’ve seen 3 so far need something a little bigger and closer. I’m going to get down shortly and start working on planting green fields. Sounds like my neighbor is having a hell of a dove shoot this morning

Seen 4 hogs. 1 great biggun but too far for a shot. My son just text and says he thinks he hit a doe. Gonna give her some time and go look

That’s true. I went back and got another release and ended up shooting a coyote so still not a bad morning.

Wind is hard ESE here. I didn’t have anything set up for that so I’m sitting this one out.
Going to move a stand and review some pics here in a bit.

Some does came through and they all had tiny baby crockpot sized fawns so they all got a pass.

They taste just fine when smoked whole. They skin really easy, just like a rabbit.

He hasn’t learned anything because he’s not the one on the sideline, but I’ll bet you have an extra one next time. I’m not being smart, I just know what taught me lessons in my life.

I’m in some hardwoods. Surrounded by white, red, and water oaks but I’ve only heard a handful dropping and I think it’s a water oak. Not super confident but who knows
