String Silencers - 08/21/19 01:48 AM
Just thought I would ask what's the best? I have had limb savers string leaches on my Feather Max for years. I don't think there's any difference between them and cat whiskers . I need to put some on my Reezen.
Thanks

I don't add anything to my strings besides a d-loop and peep. I have the speed nocks and the rubber thing Bowtech uses and it's plenty quiet. Back in the day I had the "cat whiskers"

I'm using 6 three inch sections of paracord with the inside removed on my recurve and longbow.

I’ve always liked and used string leeches. Put a new set on this wkend.
You can really tell the difference especially on older bows like ours.

Hard to beat the catwhiskers. They won’t wear out and break. I cut them real short so they’re a little smaller than the diameter of a quarter. I’ve still got the monkey tails on my Triaxs, but they will break eventually. I’ve got a pack of these to try out when they do.

.
I bought a pack of those on sale couple years ago. Had a monkey tail break last year so I replaced it with the Apex gear. Seems to be fine.
