When is it? Do they allow Seminoles to shoot, or is that cheating?

Anybody know if that ole boy is out there selling "blob" targets? Keep kicking myself for not getting one last year.

Re: Trad shoot in Birmingham - 06/03/19 12:19 PM

it was a pretty good shoot. LOTS of folks there for the Howard Hill AND the IBO shoot. Grandson met and talked to Byron Ferguson, an old friend. Grandson Dylan did manage to claim my 69 Bear Takedown after shooting it for a while. I may have to hurt him to get it back....

Re: Trad shoot in Birmingham - 06/03/19 03:32 PM

Fred, ive met Byron , he can shoot a long bow as good ,are better than anyone to day, i always enjoyed talking with him, some folks don't like him, probably because he is better with a long bow, than they are! sorry you lost your bear take down, but if you pass it on to your grandson, that a "GOOD " lost, I wish I had passed mine on to a grandson, but I didn't have one when mine left. GOOD to hear from you !!

I'm going to look for a set of 40# limbs for "our" takedown for him to shoot.

I like Byron, have known him for many years.

I've met and spoke to Byron at a couple of bow ranges. Although I never got a chance to shoot with him I was amazed at how down to earth he was, very quite and polite and generally nice fellow. The polar opposite of what I expected. thumbup

Hate I missed this one. I competed in my first powerlifting match in Irondale Saturday after watching my oldest son shoot Thursday and Friday in the Alabama State Trap Shooting Championship in Matthews, AL. I'm going to try to get to one or two of these traditional shoots before the end of the year.
