I will be hunting Freedom Hills today. I have finally got me a easterly wind. I’m going to slip in after daylight, so I can be quiet. I sure hope I can catch big boy walking around in his bedding area. Tight quarters and a shaky tree. It’s going to be a challenge to get drawn back on him. Rising thermals is going to be a plus also. The one buck that I’m after is pretty much nocturnal, he has shown up right at last light a few times so I’ll give it a try this afternoon.
Well I got down at 11:00 and run one off walking out. Then I seen 9 more deer scattered in different places while scouting. Looks like 10:00-2:00 is the best deer movement from what I gathered today. I’m hunting the edge of a bedding area on a fire break this afternoon. I seen two does right at dark yesterday. I’m close to the truck, so does beware.
